News update March 3rd: This week in my series on Computer Science with First Grade, we learned a lot about collaboration and communication as we tested our code so far – read all about it here. Part 1, part 2, part 3 and part 4 of our 6-week unit are still up if you missed them. Sessions 1 and 2 can be taught with or without access to iPads or computers, contain all the printables and instructions required to teach computer science to complete beginners in your classroom and are easily extendable into multiple sessions. I’ll be updating the unit as I teach it, so follow me on Twitter to get notified when the next set of resources is up.
It’s not all computer science though, I also added some simple phonics printables last week.
Thanks everyone for all your support in 2013 – it was by far my busiest year on E.Y.E. with a ton of new visitors and subscribers. Most popular resources were literacy activities on The Snowman by Raymond Briggs, resources on vowels, and Elmer’s Colors.
If you have any requests for future resources, please get in touch. Thanks for your support!
